Our Work
This is a brand new galvanized pipe jack. These are usually located in many residential homes and are used for the home's plumbing systems such as bathrooms, kitchen sinks, toilets. These should be replaced every 4-5 years depending on the amount of ware taken over the years.

Chimney Flashing and Repair
One of the more common places for a roof leak to occur is around the Chimney. Unless flashed properly your chimney will leak resulting in added expense to repair rot, interior water damage and the actual source of the leak. With every roof system that Legendary Roofing’s expert roofers install, we make certain that the chimneys are flashed correctly using modern & skilled techniques.
First, we clean your chimney of all existing tar and metal flashings. The deck around the chimney is thoroughly inspected for loose wood, lifted or exposed nails and or rot. If either of these is present we will repair. Next, if applicable we build a cricket at the back of the chimney. Cricket is a small peak that sits behind the chimney. The purpose is to prevent the water from hitting the chimney directly in the back by simply diverting it to either side. Chimney crickets are recommended on every chimney that is built through the center of a roof. Chimneys that are built up the exterior side of a wall or through the ridge of the roof do not need crickets.
The next step is to grind out all the mortar joints needed to secure the roof counter flashing installations. We then wrap the chimney securely with an ice and water shield leak barrier. The shingles are then step flashed around the sides and back of the chimney using a single piece of aluminum step flashing for each shingle. Lead counter flashing is installed and all joints are mortared.
Chimney Flashing Repair Process
Most residential homes that have a brick or siding chimney should be inspected along with the roof every 4-5 years. Chimney flashing is an important and crucial system that ensures a leak-free chimney. In most cases, the chimney flashing (counter flashing) is improperly installed, never been replaced or is the incorrect type of flashing. Here at Legendary Roofing, our skilled estimators and repairmen are trained to spot improperly placed or damaged flashing. The simple chimney flashing system consists of proper counter flashing to go around the chimney, replacing any damaged wood, installing a waterproof underlayment felt that surrounds the entire chimney base, new step flashing also around the chimney and finally the use of high-grade roofing shingles to match the roof color.
The first step to installing new flashing is to remove all original shingles, flashings and rotten decking (plywood).
Once we have installed new decking sheets we clean and prep the surface for the waterproof underlayment to adhere to the surface.
The entire base surrounding the chimney is waterproofed to ensure no leak penetration surrounding the entire chimney.
Finally we have installed matching shingles around the entire chimney to give it its new and improved appearance that will last a lifetime.
